What to check when comparing responses
Price matters, but the proposed scope, timing, relevant experience and written terms also need attention.
Ask each business to describe what is included, what is not included and what could change the price. Compare like with like rather than relying on the headline figure.
Check identity, relevant trade registrations where required, insurance where appropriate, references and the written payment schedule before work begins.
